Totnes Show benches cropped 1024x526 - Prisoner Training & Placements

23 July 2024 –

If you’re heading for the Totnes and District Show in Berry Pomeroy on Sunday 28th July, be sure to grab a seat for the main arena events. Not only you will catch a thrilling display of horse and carriage driving, terrier racing, sheep shearing and prize-winning animals – but you will be enjoying them from the comfort of a LandWorks bench!

“We had a call from Travis Perkins, who are one of the show’s sponsors,” explained LandWorks Director, Chris Parsons. “They supplied us with the timber and ordered 20 benches from us for placing around the arena. They will be offering the benches for sale to the public at the end of the show and also giving LandWorks a percentage of the takings, which is incredibly generous.”

The Totnes and District show is over 100 years old and is one of the biggest one-day agricultural shows in the county. Alongside the main arena activities and parades, there will be an exciting variety of attractions including mountain bike trials, a music stage, cookery demonstrations and a family fun area. Tickets are available for purchase on the Totnes & District Show Website.

LandWorks garden furniture is available to order. To check out our full range of benches, chairs, picnic tables and more, why not visit our new display area at LandWorks on the Dartington Estate? All our furniture is hand made on site by our trainees and staff, with sale proceeds going directly to the project.
