We are delighted to announce that Sarah Wollaston, former MP for Totnes and Chair of the House of Commons Health and Social Care Committee, has agreed to join the LandWorks trustee team.
A long-time supporter of the charity, Sarah will attend her first LandWorks board meeting on the 2nd November. This is the first trustee position that Sarah has taken up since leaving the House of Commons at the end of last year.
Announcing the appointment, Ted Tuppen CBE, Chair of LandWorks trustees said:
“Sarah has been a great supporter since the earliest days of LandWorks and we are delighted to welcome her to the LandWorks board. She brings a depth of experience and commitment that will be hugely beneficial to the charity, and assist us as we move into the next stage of our development.”
Sarah Wollaston said:
“I have always been impressed by the inspirational team at LandWorks. Their belief in and support for people as they turn their lives around shows a far better way forward than our current criminal justice system. In these especially challenging times, LandWorks could not be more important. I am looking forward to supporting their work as a trustee.”
