1 November 2024 –
It’s just over seven weeks until Christmas, and where better to get a head start on your gift hunting than the LandWorks shop? Not only will you find a tempting selection of handcrafted wooden products, ceramics and festive gifts for your loved ones; but all profits from sales go to fund our vital work helping people leaving prison, or at risk of going there, find a supported route back into employment and the community.
Made with love and pride by our team, trainees and graduates, our handmade gifts include wooden chopping boards, platters, turned bowls and bird boxes; colourful ceramic mugs, jugs, vases and incense holders; and a jolly range of wooden reindeers, small Santas and Christmas trees ̶ not to mention Christmas cards, decorations, and candle holders.
We also offer fresh, organically grown vegetables for your table, and logs and kindling for your crackling fire!
For book-loving family and friends, we recommend a copy of Acceptance, the inside story of how LandWorks is reducing reoffending and transforming lives. Acceptance combines extraordinary insights on the day-to-day goings-on at LandWorks with personal stories from offenders on placement, told in their own words. You don’t have to be familiar with LandWorks to appreciate the power of its message. (Acceptance is also available for purchase online at www.landworks.org.uk)
The LandWorks shop is a vital part of our enterprise, contributing around 25% of our running costs each year. All the money generated from sales goes into funding our activities on the site and supporting our graduates. You can pay for your purchases with cash or by bank transfer. We can be found at Quarry Field, TQ9 6EA, on the Dartington estate and are open 9-6 weekdays and 10-5 weekends for Christmas shopping.
Finally, as 2024 draws to a close, we’d like to thank all our kind and committed supporters and customers whose donations and purchases support our project. We simply couldn’t do it without you!
